★ about me // life 'n work stuff ! ★
Hi! I'm Sig, the one behind this page and all the stuff/art/tattoos on here. I'm a Tattooer/Visual Artist working out of Portland, Oregon.
These past few years; aside from tattooing, I have maintained a focus on drawing both natural and abstract forms, graphic design, and expanding my technical skillset.
I was born and raised in the Willamette Valley, right outside of Salem. There, I maintained a focus on painting, and drawing in colored pencil and graphite.
I learned how to professionally tattoo in 2023; even though I gave my first hand-poke tattoo at age 15.
My goal in tattooing is to better connect people to their own bodies, through artistic engagement, and expression.
To me, tattooing is a form of community care, and harm reduction, so I take it seriously. Your safety, comfort, and experience are just as important to me as the final product of your tattoo, and always will be. <3

ART BACKGROUND:
After the pandemic, I took a few 6 week drawing/graphic design classes at Chemeketa Community College, where I studied Buisness. I was taught how to draw by a blunt, Doc- Marten wearing, masc Woman in an elective art class, who molded me; and also punished me with hours upon hours of graphite still-life studies. I miss her dearly.
I then, paused my education to obtain my tattoo license. Throughout tattoo school and during the beginning of my career, I was a custom art/picture framer.
It was my first, real world, "art job"; and it gave me the chance to develop a steady, trained hand/eye (and, draw on sticky notes when it was slow).
I am self/community taught!
